Management Team

David T. (Dave) Maccagnone, founder and chief executive officer of Multi-Bank Securities, Inc. (MBS), has more than 40 years of experience in the institutional securities industry.

In 1975, he established his career with Merrill Lynch as a broker focused on fixed-income securities. Armed with the desire to better serve the institutional securities market, Dave branched out in 1985 and founded Multi-Bank Services, Ltd. In order to serve a larger segment of the market, a subsidiary was established to complete the overall plan. In 1988, MBS became a registered broker-dealer with trading and funding capabilities. He actively continues to participate in daily operations of the company.

Dave leads by example. He is personally involved in the training and development of all institutional brokers and travels each year throughout the country, meeting with hundreds of clients and creating investment solutions that meet their specific needs. Additionally, Dave continues to attend conferences related directly to the institutional markets MBS serves and shares his insights as a speaker at many of them throughout the year.

Dave graduated from Oakland University, located in Rochester, Mich., in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts. Prior to his academic studies, Dave proudly served his country for 10 years in the United States Marine Corps, ending his second tour in the rank of Captain. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Dave served as a forward observer with the 1st Battalion, 26th Marines at the Battle of Khe Sanh during the Tet Offensive in 1968.

Dave holds the following FINRA licenses: a General Securities Representative (Series 7), a General Securities Principal (Series 24) and a Uniform Securities Agent State Law (Series 63). He previously served on the Board of Advisors for the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada (APT US&C).

Dave’s leisure time is spent traveling, golfing and enjoying several forms of motor sport racing. His quality time is shared with his five grandchildren.
