Management Team

David T. (Dave) Maccagnone, co-founder and Chairman of Multi-Bank Securities, Inc. (MBS), is a proud United States Marine Corps veteran and Purple Heart recipient with more than 40 years of experience in the institutional securities industry.

Dave first felt the call to serve his country while he was in high school during the Vietnam War. Dave left school to join the Marine Corps and fought in the siege of Khe Sanh as an artillery forward observer. His call sign was Molly Pitcher 64.

After completing his tour of duty, Dave returned to the U.S. and earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Oakland University. He recommissioned with the Marine Corps as a second lieutenant after graduating and was honorably discharged a second time in 1975 in the rank of captain.

After returning home, he established his career with Merrill Lynch as a broker focused on fixed-income securities. Armed with a vision to better serve the institutional securities market, Dave founded Multi-Bank Services, Ltd. in 1985 before establishing MBS as a subsidiary to serve a larger segment of the market. MBS became a registered broker-dealer with trading and funding capabilities in 1988.

Dave lead MBS as its CEO and Chairman for nearly 40 years and has played an integral role guiding the Firm’s growth since its inception. In 2026, he stepped down from his CEO role as part of a planned leadership transition. He continues to serve as Chairman of the Board.

Today, MBS has grown from a small home business to a nationally recognized broker-dealer serving thousands of institutional clients across the U.S. Dave’s strategic leadership shaped MBS into a company that emphasizes personal service and client relationships while embracing technological innovations. Dave enjoys traveling, meeting with clients around the country and attending major industry conferences with our
sales team.

Dave holds the following FINRA licenses: a General Securities Representative (Series 7), a General Securities Principal (Series 24) and a Uniform Securities Agent State Law (Series 63).
